I'm starting to like Jenkins, sure he probably fried my laser but hey we've all broke something at work and then whistled nonchalantly as we slinked away, so its hard to hold that against Jenkins. In this case the laser was not only shipped with the batteries, but it arrived with the batteries...

If its genuinely producing 2,201mW then you should take lots of pretty pictures, you will be able to look at them in about 3 minutes and reminisce about how sweet that beam looked before the diode went nova. :)

:crackup: To be fair the props go to yobresal. The UK Customs probably feared reprisals, they are armed with a whistle and a pen, yobresal has lasers, in a game of top trumps lasers trump both pen and whistle. :)

You have to wonder how much money Wicked Lasers are losing to Customs around the world due to confiscations. They may be a bunch of greasy weasels, but +1 for their policy of shipping a replacement in the case of Customs seizure. I had a yobresal laser delivered a few days ago here in the UK...

I'm not sure if a dogs eye is more sensitive than a humans, but different dogs have different eye configurations. Generally though they have trouble identifying certain colours, so they have similar vision to people with red-green colour blindness I believe. Cats on the other hand definitely...

Re: 1.2 Watt Copper 445nm blue lasers $149 shipped JBTexas pretty much hit the nail on the head. Those batteries are rated at 3.6v but will hold 4.2v on a full charge, its logical to assume that if you put a battery with 3.6v or more into the charger it'll probably see it as a fully charged...
