Hey I found this on ebay-1 Watt 532nm Crystal Assembly! Just add 808nm no align. (Up for sale is a new Castix crystal assembly designed for a small 1 watt (1000mW) Green DPSS laser. This takes 808nm light in from any 808nm diode and, without alignment, produces 532nm light. Makes 1W @ 532nm with...
I saw those! But I am not ready for a bare diode. My soldering skills are rusty, been a long time since i sat behind a Weller. I think a module will be my best bet for a first build. Then all I need to solder is wires, restors and caps. Later maybe switch out the diode.
Ah I did not take the heat into consideration; obviously I can not use coolant. My thought was to build a housing much like a mag lite with a magnifying lens mounted in the front of the module, by screwing the laser module in and out, I hope to be able to focus it properly. My housing could hold...
Hello all, I am thinking about building an ir laser with this module. I have a couple of questions. Do you think it would be possible to machine some very fine threads onto the od of this module if it was carfully chucked in plastic jaws or a collet? Is the focus that hard to get right? And...
You know this x-105 ia about as much laser as i feel comfortable with around mixed company,I know some of you wil laugh at that but much more power and I would worry too much about safety,,but a powerful lab laser would be a lot of fun.
Yes i have goggles!I dont think i would do any up close and personal burning without them. That green beam is incredibly bright!
I think I would like to have a lab laser somthing to set up on a table and make various fixtures to hold mirrors and defractors.
Just what i need another expensive...
ok the stats on the box are as follows-peek output power is 116.2 and average power output is-112.7.Getting pics of my x-105 in action is going to take some experimentation by me ill try later today.
I just wanted to thank every one here for the great information on lasers and steering me to a x-105. Last night sitting around a campfire in a friend[ch8217]s back yard on a crystal clear Maine night I made ten adults jaws hit the ground in astonishment, no one had seen a laser of this...

I will give this x105 a try and if it is too much laser for me then some fine person on this forum will get themselves a good deal.Having worked in the metal working industry a long time i have seen too many eye injury's, some really terrible and though the eye has marvelous healing ability's it...
after more reading i have decided to get glasses from nova. these lasers are no toy and i intend to treat it as i do my firearms..with much respect. Now i am worried about bystanders... is using it outside at night say in the night sky safe for those around me? Or should one this powerful only...
x105 is on its way! From what i understand ir is very low with this laser, should i get some ir glasses for normal use or would i have to do something stupid to damage my or someone else's eyes?
