It also arrived very fast to me, and i really enjoy the laser. The only con i could mention is the low runtime, but that is due the sigle AAA cell setup. Mine ran ~1 hour with a new Energizer AAA and at the last minutes it was very dimm.
My first ebay 5mw green laser still being in transfer...
Re: 532nm keychains with star cap - Closed for this time
What runtimes are you experiencing with the pointers? I had one fresh AAA energizer and it practically went empty in one hour, i thought the laser failed then inserting a new battery, the beam was like BANG 1000x more intensive :)
I am...
Huh? 75% of people here are over 18, so they mostly work for their living.
If you have some problems in your life you should seek medical help.
You can also get keychain laserpointers for several $, if you cut the grass your father probably gives you the money needed to buy those. :na:
Do you probably have a picture of this setup when you are measuring the circuit, or just a picture to see what could have gone wrong?
BTW 2V*0.8A =1.6W still :)
On Wiimote Project they use the TSAL 6400 IR LED generally, because it's the best for the WiiRemote to detect. That LED is 940nm and around 35mW in power, so you should look around for laser according to this.
Here is one 5mW 940nm diode: LASER DIODE INFRARED 940NM - D904-5-5.6
Based on the video and explanation, the guy uses a single IR led for the Wii to pick up form 1-2m distance. I don't think he will need any high power for that, several mW of IR could do the trick.
Probably DJNY could cherry pick one for him...
