    My first red burner w/pictures

resaL, I think I saw a video that showed your heatsink in the head of the dorcy. That looks real cool how you made it. What is it made out of. The first picture with it assembled make it look like aluminum but the other pictures makes it look like a different material, unless that's a coating...

Yeah I just got it a few weeks ago and my first one from him I got was back in december, not that it matters because that one is dead. I might check the numbers first even though it will most likely be the bad batch. Thanks for the heads up on that one.

    Red DIY DVD laser burner.

the AMC7135 sounds good to use to me, the only problem i have is that i only need 1 or 2. Looks like you have to buy 16 or 20 and i also saw i missed out on a GB for those. I will use that if i come across another GB. And your saying that can run a max of 4.5 volts so one rcr123 would do the...

    Red DIY DVD laser burner.

so basically if i went with the AMC7125 and wanted to be safe I need to a cap. and resistor in parallel with the ld. also heat seems to be an issue so i could machine a aluminum heatsink to be even safer? Also i'm confused about some things I came across about battery voltage getting to low, can...

    Red DIY DVD laser burner.

ok thanks, i will go through that thread. I will return those for the right parts tomorrow or order the blue fusion driver. So can I use the rcr123's in the cr123 dorcy? I've been reading so much on here and trying to get the best solution for my build so thanks for the help.

    Red DIY DVD laser burner.

I have a question that i hope to get some advise on. One idea i had is to extend the dorcy out to fit 2 cr123's and put daedal's driver in the barrel depending on the response I get from some of you. I'm a fabricator so making a longer barrel is no problem because i have all the tool and...
