Yup, I've owned it for a long time but only played with the laser a few times, then it just sits in a box and then every so often I take it out and play with it. I send them the $3.00 and I'm not sure I'll get a tracking number but I should see the switch in a week or two.

I hear you to be honest I really only used the laser for about 30mins over the coarse of over a year that I've owned it. It mainly sits in a shoe box and I only play with my laser every so often. I didn't expect the button switch to break like it did.

Sorry about that I've been away from the forums. Susie is going to send me a replacement tail cap all I have to do is pay the shipping. I accidentally ripped the orange rubber boot for the click switch so it might not be waterproof anymore. I'll see if I can get a youtube video up of that...

Seems like o-like is ignoring me :(, I haven't heard back from them. I'll give it a day or two.

I've tried to repair the click button but it looks to be riveted. I sent an email to o-like and I'll see what they say. If not, I'll send it over to you and let you work your magic. I don't expect you to fix it as it's already broken but how worse can it get :)

LOL never mind turns out I was using batteries that were too low... I got the module in the pen host and it's working great!

I bought a 100mw laser module to put into a pen style host and cannot figure out what the black wire does, or where it goes? It looks just like this but I'm not sure what the purpose of the wire is for and if so how would I get it to work with 2 aaa batteries?

I played with it for a few days and put it back in it's case. I just a few days ago put fresh batteries in it and it didn't power up. Don't worry I never left the old batteries in the laser pointer, that is one way to corroded the contacts and have the batteries leak. I'll see how it works out...

I'm going for the more pocket pointer, not a bulky flashlight pointer. I do have a different host I can put it into with a focusing lens but for now I'm going to add it to a simple pen style host. It wouldn't be a waste as I have a green pen style host I bought years ago that simply quit working.

I'm not talking about pot moddding the laser:) I'm replacing the module with a proven 100-150mw module.
