Ok so i'm getting a new laser and haven't decided on a power rating or color. In order decide on what laser i get i need to know what it can do.... So can anyone please fill out this chart with the minumum amount of "mw"s needed...

What fourmula do I use to find output wavelength of 3 random wavelangths when the the three are combined in differant combenations??? P.S. An online calculator that uses the "nm" unit is what I'm looking for idealy... Alternetives: Fourmula(s) / links / other

also what type of power supply should i use? 3V? 2.1V? DC? AC????????????

ok new problem... the laser diode i have has 4 pins & i have no way to defferetiate between them (the back is covered by a pcb with no lables andthe pcb cannot be removed)

Okay... I guess I will use the DVD player's laser. (NOT a DVD Burner) What should I do as far as extracting, modifying and/or adding to my DVD player???? :thinking: BTW, The DVD player doesn't read and DVD's anymore, that is why I'm trying to salvage what I have :thanks:

Why is it all of the laser diode light comes out like a flashlight???? I'm using a CD-Rom laser diode... Pin-out should be correct... Any ideas what i'm doing wrong??? :thinking:
