Im trying to do Senkats build and I'm having difficultys with my multi meter I set everything so Ma should read on it and when I go to test it on say a AA batt it reads crazy hi in the 400Ma range then it goes down over time to a meager 32 or so and holds there. Any reasons why this would be...

Re: Yet another DIY laser. With a question mixed i Its a senkat sony 16x diode so Im thinking 250ma. I don't have a heatsink so I can't have the Ma to high I just want decent burning.

Okay I'm getting The following from Senkats site, A assembled adjustable laser driver a load tester a diode installed in a axizs housing. And plan to use it in a Dorcy Mini single CR123 flashlight host. Heres where my problem comes in :'( I'm not putting in a heatsink YET till I raise the funds...

LOL i got my nova x65 taken away by the mall cops because i was shining it at the movie theater at the time they never said any thing about bringing lasers in but that changed shortly after. But at the time it sure freaked people out P.S. sorry about the off topic story :'(

i run my old 5mw laser off of 2 of those big button watch bats (6v) and it runs much brighter just now i have a duty cycle for a 5mw laser lol but its able to pop through a really inflated ballon with a lense in about 2mins (at 2cm)
