Here's some decent pics of my new argon...

I think it is just a starfield pattern (made by a friend) pretty similar to your avatar :) Jase.

Freak 803T Diode **A New Mystery**

Re: Freak 803T Diode **Mystery Solved** It is all about getting rid of that heat. Daguin was kind enough to build me a superb module for testing, it contains a Rkcstr driver set at 180mA outputting 175mW after an acrylic AixiZ lens. I received it this morning (Thank you very much Dave) and...

    More Senkat Drama (

Ken, I guess I am to blame for that and I guess the subsequent "irony" thread. I only posted it in response to a thread called "Senkat Drama" which has now vanished (?) I did not for a minute intend the thread to sit someone on a pedestal or to differentiate any individual to say they are any...

    pseudonomen137

Re: pseudonomen137 scammed me out of $425! Well me and Pseudo have never really been friends and we don't agree on a lot of things. As fellow enthusiasts we share some respect for each other and I feel I have to defend him here. If you are looking for a scammer, then you will have to look...

    Ultimate Aixiz Heatsink

Sadly not. A full time job , wife and 2 kids prevents that , soz. Jase.

    Ultimate Aixiz Heatsink

You can always use a clear lacquer to prevent the build up of oxide salts. But apart from colour, there really is no need to choose it over ally for the sorts of power a diode will radiate. But I have to agree, a polished copper heatsink would look kinda good :) Jase.

    Ultimate Aixiz Heatsink

Aye. Copper is superior to ally in terms of heat transfer, however it is heavy, expensive and is a pain to machine. It is also a very reactive metal and tarnishes easily. Aluminium is a wonderful metal to machine and can be highly polished. It will self oxidise and protect itself from corrosion...

    Ultimate Aixiz Heatsink

Transition fit of the module, the length is exact. Jase.

    Ultimate Aixiz Heatsink

It gets no better than this. Machined and mirror finished from T-6 grade Aerospace Aluminium. I added some cooling fins to increase the surface area and aid cooling. The bore is a very snug "Transition" fit , so the Aixiz module can easily be pressed out again, should I need to swap out. I made...

    Burning the PHR-803T Sled

Dont you mean KMN03? Potassium permanganate. Used to be freely available here in the UK as a foot deodouriser . Mere mention of it now will get you arrested as a terrorist. Great oxidiser and a lot of fun when added to Glycerine. Jase

    My laser lighting matches

Much respect to you my little friend ;) Best laser lighting match video I have ever seen. Why? Because you made it very personal. Instead of a pair of disjointed hands, we see the face behind the scientist. Study hard, and experiment safely because you are the future and you will achieve great...
