Hi Guys I'm encountering a big problem here: Since I don't have the spec sheet for the tube, I have no idea which side is the anode and which side is the cathode! Is there a way to figure this out by examine the tube? Or it just doesn't matter? (I guess since they usually mark out the anode...

I'm also wondering if anyone tried to power the laser directly with those high voltage power supply (like the old Fluke 410B, which goes to 10kV with 12mA)? In this case can I just attach a ballast resistor in series with the tube and connect it to the output of the supply?

Also, I noticed some screws on the high-reflector side of the tube. Is it for adjusting the high-reflector? Or for changing the mirror? I didn't try to take them off less that there will be gas leak...
