alright i got really frustrated and just took it all apart and started from square one maybe a cold joint or something problem solved its working now thx for the help

I checked all the connections again and they seem fine Im sure its not a battery connection issue becuase i just connect a wire and it goes on then off, then i reconnect the wire in the same place and it goes on for a second etc etc i dont think i need a new battery. the battery is a few months...
