It comes with a battery and charger so looks like a pretty good deal, if you ask me. Even if that is a little underspec it should still be more than capable of providing plenty of burning power. If you don't want to/can't build your own, I'd say go for it!

I can vouch on behalf of my friend that O-Like are pretty good. There was a payment issue when he ordered his however I think they had some server problems at the time, so it was probably just a one-off occurrence.

Personally, I'd be way too scared to use such a powerful IR laser! The only way I'd go near it is if I could wear 3 pairs of safety glasses!:D

Definitely make sure that whatever one you decide to buy includes batteries and a charger, or that you order them separately if they are not included. My friend purchased one that did not include a charger, so had to wait 3 weeks for the charger to arrive before he could properly use his laser...

Just keep an eye on the BTS section of the forum. You'll eventually see something that you like, and it will be at a good price.

Your laser has changed homes more times than a hermit crab! If I'm to be honest, the second one looks awesome due to it's uniqueness, however I can see the practical reasons behind settling on the classical torch housing.
