I unscrewed the one closest to the lens and I do see that hole you mentioned, but there isn't a screw in there. Is there supposed to be?

Isn't that just tightening it though? Looks to me like the glue wore off.

It's towards the front of the heatsink or in the middle?

Where is the set screw? How do I reach it if the lens/diode is in the way?

No idea how odd this situation is but I have a pretty powerful 445nm 2.3W laser with an aluminum body and copper heat sink. Out front is the lens and focusing barrel (?) but where the barrel meets the heat sink, it's loose. It should be firm in place but I'm guessing due to the heat, the glue...
