Can anyone work out (or have any ideas about) what laser set up would be best reflection off a night ocean surface with minimal disturbance of the fish?
the aim is to see the shape of the oceans surface but without lighting up a darkened ocean or attracting the predators in particular.

I am going to try to use a 200 mW red laser from the centre of a football oval and rotate the laser slowly so it can be seen by players running around the boundary to keep them at a pace if they run with the laser. Does anyone know if, in daylight, the players will be able to see the laser...
