I seem to be making an obvious mistake somewhere. I finally received my batteries after a month and tested my load. I connected the diode to the wires and it turns on just fine until I press the aixiz housing into the heatsink. It sounds like a ground issue but Im not sure whats happening...

Hakzaw, thanks so much for the lens. That was really nice of you to send it to me. I noticed that the one you sent has what appears to be a deeper retaining ring in it than the typical aixiz glass lens. Is this a modified lens assembly, or am I seeing things?

So I went to the local auto part store and the smallest torx key they had was a T8. Still looked a bit large though and I didnt want tohave to buy the kit it came in for 16.99 to find out :P Where did you guys get yours?

What would happen though if the 2 32600s got low if I were using a DDL as the driver and and assuming the LD is requiring another 3.0v? If the cells run lower than a combined 6v, would the LD still function dimly or would something fail in the circuit?
