    Connecting A laser Diode/Driver to a 7805 Voltage Regulator

Can't i just use 1 of your high powered lasers that you build? It is after all Lazer Tag and the object of the game is to go around shooting the ENEMY players :-) Thank you for your help, when im able im going to order those pointers and hopefully send them to someone who wont rip me off. I...

    Connecting A laser Diode/Driver to a 7805 Voltage Regulator

Alright so they definitely need to be tested then. Thank you ! Cant the lasers be adjusted with a little dial on them? how much are those LPM things.. probably be easier to just do what you said. Ill give this a shot :-) You have helped a lot Thank You !

    Connecting A laser Diode/Driver to a 7805 Voltage Regulator

I was probably only going to get a couple to see if I can get it to work. With the filter though it should be relatively safe? 1 second exposure max and most of the time there is no contact on people but the vest itself. But safety first so whats "LPM"? and you recommend i have these tuned...

    Connecting A laser Diode/Driver to a 7805 Voltage Regulator

Awesome.. This will be safe though correct... with the lens?

    Connecting A laser Diode/Driver to a 7805 Voltage Regulator

I had to wait on ordering the laser but I have the resistors and everything that i need to build what you showed me. Another thing is.. I gave that dumb idea of connecting a laser pen with a 7805 regulator and it works. The gun is shooting the laser and everything seems to be fine as of right...

    Connecting A laser Diode/Driver to a 7805 Voltage Regulator

Alright so then Just the Laser, 1 10ohm or 5ohm resistor? and the regulator. Correct?

    Connecting A laser Diode/Driver to a 7805 Voltage Regulator

Alright then I Just go with LM317, Laser Diode, and 2x Resistors. Ordering the Laser today and going to the local electronics shop to get parts. I will take pictures and let you know if it works ! hopefully i do this right !

    Connecting A laser Diode/Driver to a 7805 Voltage Regulator

See im learning.. You are right, I thought that whole piece was the diode/driver. It does have a lens and a housing around it. I posted a picture of it already. Its that little bronze 3pin thing that i connected to an existing driver. I will order that piece that you suggested and TRY and...

    Connecting A laser Diode/Driver to a 7805 Voltage Regulator

Its a red diode that I bought from the local electronics shop. The only thing it came with was that wrinkled schematic (posted picture in earlier post) that I was not supposed to take. The only person who was there at the time was unable to tell me specs on the particular diode. There was just...

    Connecting A laser Diode/Driver to a 7805 Voltage Regulator

Alright this is the first response that I have seen or maybe I overlooked it that says this makes no sense. That is awesome because now i will stop trying. This is just what was in the instructions so I was trying to make it work. When the trigger is fired its Firing off 9.6v so its burning...

    Connecting A laser Diode/Driver to a 7805 Voltage Regulator

I cannot send the gun anywhere. This is for a place I work and the equipment is expensive. Never mind trying to get the green lasers firing I just want to know how to Hook up a standard RED LASER DIODE to a 7805. Don't worry about what the voltages are, what the current is. I have given all...

If anyone could help me out that would be awesome..

    Connecting A laser Diode/Driver to a 7805 Voltage Regulator

Is this what the schematic is showing me? Would this work or does it even make sense? I don't know how to read schematics :-(

    Connecting A laser Diode/Driver to a 7805 Voltage Regulator

Alright Its been a while since I have posted and that's because I have been trying to get some information. Here is what I have found out so far, again all your help is appreciated. Most of the equipment has these laser's in them. Model #: JAT-LM 635 Visible Red Laser Wavelength: 635nm +/-...

    Connecting A laser Diode/Driver to a 7805 Voltage Regulator

I cant seem to make my own red laser. I got a red laser pen and a regulator ( maybe ill try a different one ) The input pin on the regulator is +ve (red wire to PCB) The Ground pin on the regulator is soldered to the spring of the laser driver. There is another wire soldered from the ground pin...
