Senkat, you are mistaken about another contest DOA laser. The previous winner broke his power switch after a few weeks and we sent him a replacement. To my knowledge, it's still working great.

Not sure why this laser is such a big deal. We've offered a 5mw at Destructive Gear for $40 for a few months now. I just made a one week special for $30 shipped within the USA. Try it out - I guarantee it's better than the one being discussed here.

Without showing video to offiical engineer, my guess is the fluctuation is caused by APC adjusting the power. Most of these lasers are tuned to higher than 5mw, we put them at whatever current they can safely handle. My guess is the current (and power of the laser) is a little high and is...
