Can this be focused enough to kill insects and bugs at a distance of over 5ft? My 2.1 445nm seems to do the job at a very close range (a feet) but i need something stronger.

Hey LPF, I've seen our need for external lens springs, especially ones that work with G-lenses. Current external lens springs only work with the Aixiz glass lenses because they hit solid height before a G lens can get close enough to the diode to achieve a parallel beam (aka infinity focus)...

^^ this. It's virtually impossible to burn with a 635 from 10 ft. Focus your laser so the focal point is around 2-5 inches, and it should smoke stuff instantly.
