    camera lens as beam expander?

No, not tongue in cheek at all haha. I was actually referring to all the knowledge on this forum; at the time I was reading an analysis pullbangdead did about modes, and it made me think of the huge amounts of knowledge on this forum. (He actually wrote some pretty good information, here is the...

    camera lens as beam expander?

Holy cow!! Now THAT'S one hell of a beam expander, Alaskan. Are you aware if it's entirely custom or if a company built it? I'd like to know where I could get one/similar. I have interest in many things already, but this inspires me to get into beam expanders so much. It still amazes me how...

    Lazerpoint.com Experiences?

Thank you for your reply. I thankfully already made my decision, and their company is simply too unreliable with shipping and (like you mentioned) having one break quickly just isn't worth it.

Graph of LaserBTB Prices in relation to Wavelength!

rhd, This graph is showing the WAVELENGTH, MODEL, and COST. It isn't intended to be visually appealing. The order is suppose to be in relevance to power, the software I used just didn't aline them all perfectly. That thought crossed my mind, but I didn't want to make multiple graphs. I may do...

Graph of LaserBTB Prices in relation to Wavelength!

Thanks man! I really appreciate that you like it :) My major interest was in visualizing the cheapest for each milliwatt, and so far, nothing has beaten a good old fashioned graph! Hope a some more people like it too.

Graph of LaserBTB Prices in relation to Wavelength!

Apparently my attempt didn't work. Oh well, here's this (an FYI, the URL is interactive, so it will still be much better than this):

Graph of LaserBTB Prices in relation to Wavelength!

Here is a graph I spent a good while on; I used almost all lasers between 50mW and $150 (because that was my budget), on laserbtb. My main goal was to get VERY wide visualization of a typical reliable companies' prices for each wavelength, and then maybe make some purchases! Most of my time was...

    Lazerpoint.com Experiences?

Mortuus, I don't intend to buy from them as if they're a good website, my budget is simply very limited, and I have noticed not ALL of their listings are inaccurate. Apologies if I didn't state my goal clearly in my original post. @SteveT, thank you. But I have already seen many of those, I was...

    Lazerpoint.com Experiences?

Hello, I'm sure some of you have heard of Lazerpoint.com, but for those who haven't, they're chinese operated, well known for laughably terrible "live" customer service (nobody speaks proper english), and seller of the usual underspec. Although lazerpoint isn't very trustworthy, considering SOME...

    Two Questions

Good info. The first time I posted this I didn't notice I forgot the second question, so your responses after I edited it are appreciated, thank you.

Lowest possible divergence, maintaining balloon pop @ 500 meters

I admit I should have rephrased the question to begin with, and now that I have an idea of the wavelength, it will be even easier to ask "what's the furthest burn I can achieve with ____ much money." Thanks

Lowest possible divergence, maintaining balloon pop @ 500 meters

My searches have turned up empty handed. If you're referring to finding results on the divergence over lengths, sure. But I couldn't find anything on divergence in relevance to cost and burn effectiveness for my budget.

Lowest possible divergence, maintaining balloon pop @ 500 meters

My question is most likely going to result in building my own laser to get the closest results, but I'm wondering what my best options are for a $140.00 budget. I would like to know how far I would be capable at managing a burn for under $140. I understand that this is almost an impossible...

    Two Questions

I'm currently making my first purchase of a strong laser, specifically a green Skylaser HL 532nm 100mW, and I intend only to use it for long distance pointing. I would prefer to be as minimalistic as possible for safety goggles, and was wondering if 1. a 100mW laser REQUIRES goggles when only...
