The first thing that I really have to say about this laser is in regards to the company, Survival Laser. This transaction was smooth, and all of my questions were answered prior to purchasing. I had a lot of confidence ordering from someone based in the US. I ordered this laser last Thursday...

Yeah. I tried this with my new 1W Survival Laser 445nm. It didn't work! Barely registered 5 degrees. Thought I had a dud until I realized I was expecting way too much, thinking my laser could explode a digital thermometer... I wasn't even aimed at the batteries. :crackup:

I tried yesterday. While there was coffee that was sizzling on top of the liquid, I'm wondering if it isn't just the oils from the coffee. The "boiling" was taking place at the surface, but only at the surface. There was also a thin film of oil on top. The oil is part of the coffee. I think...

I decided to order a 445nm laser this week. I'd been considering either Rayfoss or O-like, and had actually settled on O-like. Then they sold out of their 1.2W 445nm tactical. So, now where to go? I'd seen a few reviews on the site about Survival Lasers, and had considered them, too...

Hah! Good point. Was it shipped with a battery? I read that o-like ships sans battery to skip anyone at Customs either turning the laser on (and figuring out what it is or blinding themselves or someone else) or, putting the battery in backwards and killing the diode. Brief flash of light...

Whoa...I thought US Customs was bad. Of course, bad meaning tough to ship through. It was a short-lived thought, however. I mean, people ship stuff here all the time that they shouldn't, (weapons, drugs, lasers, other people). The news eventually finds out about something and runs a special...

I'm just glad I saw your store. Something you said brings another question to mind... The Nova Alpha 125 is basically a CNI 532nm, right? What about replacing the diode in that? Or, if the diode in it went out, and I wanted to get a cheap green laser that probably didn't have an IR filter...

Ordered the Modwerx red collimating lens on Monday. Got it today, and it breathed new life into my 4 year old 200mW Dilda red! :yh: Focus is crisp again. I learned my lesson: Glass cleaner on AR coatings is BAD. :tsk: Cheap fix, great way to clean up the beam.
