TooLidge4U: I am a newbie, too and have bought 3 green lasers and by far the best one is the one I have now. It is a 150mW from Optotronics. Absolutely great quality. Arrived three days after order and the thing is GREAT. $200 plus tax, and is AWESOME.

I just found out about this, Bobhaha but it strengthens and focuses the beam. I saw a video on Youtube where the dot from 1000 ft shrunk to 1/10 the size.
