Got it working. Got the heatsink unstuck, removed the crappy diode and board, replaced with AiXis driver board and new >2w diode. It burns things from far away now. Forget about using the lower-end crees (Cree Q4/Q6) etc. Learned a ton doing this. Thank you guys for your help. Have a QQ: Just...

I was not paying attention and I put the battery in reversed in a 500mw violet beam pointer. I think that killed it. Any hope for this thing, or is it spare parts for a new host?
