    i think your diode is broken or the dirt is making it unfocusable or buy a 405/445 nm glass lens

    the regulator and resistor are the driver :beer: it is the cheapest driver i ever found :) just wire everything together as picture

    yes you need a driver or you diode wil die very fast (1/2 hour) and the ring wil work with aixiz housing, the ring will light up a time after the laser was turned on :)
