Can't wait for your review! Would love to know what the dot looks like at a distance. Does the 447 beam spread out more than the 640? I ordered one myself but now I have to wait 3-4 weeks for it to show up. :scowl:

I bought the 50mw version and so far I have mixed feelings on it. This is my first 589 so I would appreciate feedback as to whether or not I should send this one back for another one. The color is beautiful but the laser is extremely unstable and temperature sensitive (normal for 589 right?)...

Guess the price was to good to be true afterall! I ordered the 1 watt version on Oct 7th for $230 only to have my order canceled today by the seller. Now I see the price is $299. I would have participated in the last group buy if I knew this order would not be filled at the price offered...

Thanks for the tip guys. I'll wait for the next GB. I'm sure MojoLA is right about the power. I would be happy with anything 589nm for $250 bucks!
