I was considering buying that red laser, myself. The host is actually pretty sweet, and the price is awesome. The only issues I had with my Rayfoss greenie were a slightly off-center beam (crystal) and some thread alignment issues on the cap, which I corrected with some good-old American...

One of my professor-friends has a 1W 445nm, so I know the capabilities and around what they can do. I personally only have a 275mW greenie that peaks around 315, so comparing it to the new blue one I'll be getting won't make for an excellent review. I'll probably just compare beams and points...

I'm going to move it to the appropriate forum section. The focus ring is easy to adjust, and slightly loose. The way the focus works is tight and smooth, but the focus ring itself moves rather easily. Yes, this is the first review here for this laser. :cool: I must say, for nightpointing...

The dot is very green through those goggles. Do I need to be concerned with IR light, as well as the 532? I hope someone can point me in the direction of glasses appropriate for both these wavelengths. ... Could I simply put IR filtering lenses in front of my greenie lenses? It'll look DIYed...
