Is this a long open can diode?

Ok...I bought and opened a sony optiarc yesterday just to find plastic rectangular diodes. So, this time I am going to ask if this burner has the correct long open can diode? Also, is it easy to harvest? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827129018R Thanks, PEZ

    WTB: Long open can diode!

Hey, does anyone have a long open can diode already harvested for sale? I'm looking for a pioneer, sony optiarc, or any other open can. I'm looking for about $20. Thanks, PEZ

If i were to run a senkat diode at 400mA with good heatsinking... what would be the best expected lifetime and what would be a good duty cycle?

so, would it be alright if i ran this diode at 400mA with good heatsinking?

Re: FS: *300mW MXDL Open Can Lasers With Heatsink* Are you using a Senkat diode in these builds?

    Quick Question on MXDL laser

I was thinking about buying one of Jayrob's heatsinks for the MXDL but there too expensive for me maybe if it was like $10.:-/ I'll probably just make one..

    Quick Question on MXDL laser

Well after looking at it more closely, I think I'll just go with the 5 watt, because its bigger and fits the 2 batts in it. Thanks.

    Quick Question on MXDL laser

Well I cant post links yet, but I was thinking of the 3-watt MDXL (which only holds one CR123A) on DealExtreme.com versus the MXDL 5W Lumileds CR123A 6V Flashlight on DealExtreme. (mainly because of price.) BTW- I haven't bought the flashlight yet Thanks for the help so far.

    Quick Question on MXDL laser

OK, well I'm new to this whole thing and I am planning on making a MXDL laser with DDL's driver. In his tutorial--in the materials section-- it gave a link to the MXDL and it was a 5 watt, instead of 3 watt. -I'm wondering if I am able to use the 3 watt, and if so, is there any difference...
