Hi, I've just dissassembled replaced older DVD burner(SOSW-852S) from my notebook. I found two extremely tiny diodes, they're smaller than regular 5.6mm, both are 3 pin. I didn't even dare to remove them from their heatsinks. It says 6x but i don't really care about power, I'd like to hook red...

Hello, just a quick question, i'm trying to build a driver for StoneTek IR diode, but i don't understand few things. I'm using 4,3ohm resistor and 100ohm pot. If i want 250mA, the resistance setting for the pot should be (1,25/0,25)-4,3=0,7ohm ? That seems to be very hard to get on 100ohm range...
