If you want to see what underwater fluorescence looks like (which is what I was using the Nichia UV LEDs for), and why some people say that it is like being in the movie "Avatar", have a look at this video of mine: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4V9TCdCbX6U This video was made with blue light...

Excellent comment. Absolutely correct. I don't think so, either.

That's easy, tell them to send money like in the attached image. That way they will pay the Paypal fee themselves, which is only 1%, as opposed to commercial transactions, where it is around 3.8%.

Certainly you will find people here on the forum wanting some of your spares! Thanks a lot for the update! The link for the star MCPCBs appears to be http://www.led-mounting-bases.com/category.php?id_category=297 I bought two and then four NC4U133A in fall 2011 for 90.90 Euros per piece...

See here for more pics: https://picasaweb.google.com/117191402093193794537/CoralProjectRSECDahab2012 To my great regret, I have never seen a shark in my life, although I'm diving in tropical waters almost exclusively, and more night dives than daytime dives. I recently was informed by Nichia...

Actually, there is SOME visible light (especially in turbid water): Why is that? See here: "The inherent visible light signature of an intense underwater ultraviolet light source due to combined Raman and fluorescence effects" (PDF 226KB) In air, you will not see the beam itself, but a...

This is actually the same as the Nichia NCSU033B, which you'll find on their web page "UV LEDs". You can also order them directly via their "inquiries" form. I paid 82 Euros per piece in October 2010. For mounting four of these LEDs, I am planning this heat sink for my next project:

Dear flashaholics, During last winter (2010/2011) I modified a dive torch (Underwater Kinetics UK Sunlight C4 eLED) with two Nichia NCSU033B ultraviolet LEDs (as mentioned above in one of my previous postings). Recently I was finally able to test this torch under water in Hurghada/Egypt (Red...
