Interesting... I'm looking to replace my Core, possibly with another one, as the one I have is having major button issues after 3 years of heavy use. I don't consider that a bad run... I have dogs and cats, and they've loved chasing the dot daily for all this time. The button still works but...

5mw is quite visible during the day in a photo if the camera is set to a slightly longer exposure. Cameras don't see / record laser light like your eye does. Blu-ray lasers are a good example... in photos you can make a 405nm beam look like a violet spear of pure destruction, where in person...
