Im still faced with the problem of getting these goods through customs. I dont want to spend $1000+ and get it confiscated.

What kind of laser will i be looking for here? Good beam divergence? High power output? I am after something with a VERY long range. I am currently looking at the PL-E 532nm 700mw

No, there is a PL-E series with TEC fan cooling being released on the 15th.

with the coming of the PL-E series from jetlasers they are expected to hit 600, 700 and 800mw.

Hi Yannigk, For a visible dot over a great distance you need a good beam divergence as opposed to high power output. I am not too sure which 532 has the best beam divergence but i am sure someone on this forum could help you out.

Is it the hercules? I am after a 532 with an excess of 700mw IR filtered.

Laser is working amazingly, my friends are in awe every time i show them. I am curious as to the output of the laser. I am running 1.35a on a m140 diode. Would an estimate of 1.2-1.4watts be correct?

Had a bit of trouble mounting the diode into the module but all good. Is there any way of having the focusing module secure instead of being freely able to spin around?

Okay thanks guys the module was in the heatsink however i had a bit of trouble taking it out as mohgasm didnt provide a wrench as stated on his website. Now I need to work out which is the positive and negative wire coming out of the host. One is white and one is green.
