Okay... but shouldn't I be able to do other things to? Like select a pattern/animation and have it stay there, or cycle through the animations manually (or with sound). Plus, when the switches are all on it doesn't go through everything on the board... there's supposed to be over 100 patterns...

Right, but the online manual details all these instructions on setting specific patterns and animations. I don't know what they're referencing by saying "DMX channel 1 does this..." and "Values 0-63 does this..." For example, how would I set it to a specific animation... or even just animation...

thanks amkdeath! So what are these phazor diodes rated for does anybody know? I know they're supposed to output over 200mW but what does that equal out to in terms of current.. Is there a simple conversion for current to power output? Thanks again

Thanks everyone, I lowered the resistance it seems to work fine. I don't know if the 'artifacts' necessarily disappear, but they are now overshadowed by the actual laser dot, which is fine too. appreciate the help! :)
