    True IIIa ~515nm Pointer???

"Probably" the easiest method to get what you are chasing is to grab the Nichia diode and driver copper module bundle of DTR, and ask Jordan to set the current to get whatever output power you are looking for. Then the module arrives as a copper module with the aluminium back, the driver...

WTB: High power 532nm 12mm module.

Hi Bob. Yeah ~200mW is pretty much what I will be happy with. I know there is literally nothing more to be had, power wise, at that 12mm form factor. So, yeah. To get my hands on anything between 175-200mW I will be as satisfied as a fattened pig rolling in mud. It is silly to expect any...

WTB: High power 532nm 12mm module.

Hi all. I trust we are all great today? Or, at least doing pretty OK today? I hope that is the case. I would like some insight if possible please? Does any of you fellow members know where I can buy high power 12mm DPSS 532nm modules? Now when I say "high power", I am really talking about...

    Pen Laser Thread

I really hope to not necro post. Is a few months to long? Don't let it stop there Pman!! What else do you have? I am extensively researching the possibility of building some high power (~200mW) 532 DPSS module pen builds. You seem to have some 200mW builds there, do you care to talk...

Need people interested in 6X cylindrical pairs for the NUBM44

I have not posted in this group buy yet. But if there is no minimum, I would like to put my name down for 2 sets. If possible. Mike.

445nm been running all day at almost 1.1W

Yes Electro I saw that, and I appreciate your response. However a test rig isnt a handheld. Without knowing what kind of heatsinking you have on said test rig, and anticipating that the said test rig would have superior heatsinking than a small piece of passive metal you would find in a...

445nm been running all day at almost 1.1W

These diodes seem to be very durable thus far. If you check here, directed from photonlexicon: 445nm laser diode All efforts and credit to Krazer at PL, he says he has ran 1.5A for over 48 hours straight on a 30C coldplate. He also boosted the current to 2A for some time (check the page) My...

    Diode burned! Please help.

Going by the awfully limited information that you have provided, are you sure that the diode has "burned" as per se? Now, I dont use the microboost, but I believe that its a boost driver hence the name, and it will boost the voltage to higher and higher voltages to the LD until it reaches the...

Anyone ever made one of those laser mics/communicators?

Yeah. Once built a laser modem that could run up too 9600 baud over about 90 metres. (purchased a kit, I didnt design the thing) Used a 5mW 660nm diode, I further upgraded the unit to a 10mW. That was, IIRC, back in 1994. So I am pretty sure there would be vastly superior kits and/or schematics...

Tracking and identification demo of The Laser Mosquito Killer at TED 2010.

Perhaps the idea of a Laser Mozzie Killer is a really bunk idea, but this was just a technology demonstrator wasnt it? It wasnt a "product" demonstrator? From what I could observe, as long as that wasnt "pre-scripted" demonstrations from the lab, and if that green laser really WAS tracking those...

    Laserglow quiz

Sorry, I didnt think the second question was easy at all. I found it a shocker. Its actually pretty difficult and nasty question if you wanted to get an accurate answer (4 decimal places?) We know the speed of light in a vacuum, and we also know the speed of light at sea level atmospheric...

    100kW Laser + 1,000,000,000 Volts = Godly Weapon (Electrolaser)

Oh this technology again. I remember reading this some decades back and at that time the company/D.O.D (not really sure who were doing it now) were calling it an "electron mace". Its actually very solid theory and viable as a "technology demonstrator", but perhaps not very viable as a weapon...

Thai protester shot dead after aiming green laser at troops

Yeah, because the protests in Bangkok are a lot closer to home here we get a lot more news about the Thai red shirts / yellow shirts protesters. Its crazy over there man. The protesters are wacked. The cops are even more wacked. For instance, the riot police were shooting their riot shotguns...

    Gasdynamic laser rifle

For an even bigger laugh head to the Stavatti Corporation website. The firm responsible for this "gasdynamic laser rifle" concept. STAVATTI AEROSPACE "Hey DOD, here is our CAD rendered futuristic weapon pictures, can we have some grant money now" - Stavatti Aerospace

    1 watt ir driver problem

Did you check the output voltage of the driver with or without a laser diode or LD dummy load across the output? What type of driver, specifically, is it? These questions need to be answered before any further info can be provided. Edit: Sorry just saw that the issue is resolved.
