Thanks for the information! Interesting about eBay, makes sense though. So, assume I found a decent reseller, are these lasers (301/303, however they choose to brand them) any good? If advertised at 500mw, would they produce a stable 500mw for whatever duty cycle they promise?

Does it matter how hard I press down?

I was able to get rid of the line using a q-tip and water. it looked like this before _._ the period being the dot. But there is still this coat of residue from the can of compressed air. Is there anything I can do about that?

It's a Viper 125mw from Dragon Lasers. A standard CNI pen. I'm not sure if its glass or acryllic. It looks sorta purple.

So, today I needed to clean my laser lens. So I first tried cleaning it with a gas duster. Bad idea. It left some nasty residue on it, and now it wont come off. So I got a micro fiber cloth, and put some 70% isopropyl alcohol on it. Well, the residue is sorta gone, but now there is this...

Ok. I put in new batteries and I was able to light a match within about 2 seconds. I just had to shine in just the right spot.

So, has anyone actually ordered from them? Know the quality of the lasers?

It took about 10 seconds to light a match. Does anyone have a non-touched up photo of what a 125mw beam would look like?

But would a laser like mine normally be that visible, like in the videos? I want to be able to determine this without doing that. In a lit room, would the beam really be that thick, and visible?

I ordered my DL Viper 125mw a few months ago, I'm not sure if it is up to spec. I don't have a laser meter to test it. However, compared to other videos it seems a lot less bright compared to them. YouTube - Green Laser Show - Viper laser pointer 125mW - My beam has never appeared that solid...

This is what I mean, a laser could come up through there. Maybe my nose is too big, idk. It just doesn't fit me well. But the goggles lens blocks laser light well.
