Scanner vs Spiro and RGB questions

Thanks for the response. I wanted circular because it would cover the entirety of the fan blades without having the gaps caused by using a square mirror. I got some fans at a surplus store and they are relatively easy to control the speed on (Using a resistor) and are actually reversible. Im...

Scanner vs Spiro and RGB questions

I have been trying to decide whether i should build a Spirograph (which is cheaper) or a Scanner (which has more functionality). I am also trying to find affordable dichros for my RGB system. These by no means are going to be professional grade systems. It's going to be my first try at...

WTB: blue laser for gift (groomsmen)

Best Video yet of NIF laser system

This video is very in depth for the laser path. I wish they would have added a little more of the science into the amplification and conversion into ultraviolet. Thanks again for posting this!

buying used dpss and diy sets or parts

No one wants to be mean but like they have said, we care about people here and we want to believe you but without proof talk is cheap.

WTB: blue laser for gift (groomsmen)

If your planning on something of that power I would highly suggest getting him some protective glasses as well unless he has some. Would hate to be the guy with everything except his own eyesight.

buying used dpss and diy sets or parts

safety first, then comes research on what your getting yourself into, and once you have finished all of that you can look into buying them. A friend of mine thought he could just use sunglasses with his 50 mw green and lost much of the vision in his left eye when it bounced off a mirror.

    Blu-Ray Burner sleds

so the 8x diode in that sled is worse than the 6x? For the prices listed are any of them truly worth buying and using at higher powers than the standard PHR?
