Just to clarify on the seriously new condition of this laser.
I impatiently ordered a different laser state-side after this one got seized at US customs... about 2-3 weeks later laserbtb finally sent me a replacement. But by then I no longer needed or wanted it. I fired this one up a few times...
price dropped to $150.
Also, for some reason I never got notification of thread replies or anything.
I'm still interested in selling this laser though! As previously described, it's in brand new condition. Works awesome!
I've just been super busy with work and life to actively check up on...
TY. And yes it's a nice laser. I'll try to upload more pics tonight, maybe a beamshot.
It's barely used since I lost patience waiting for laserbtb to ship me a replacement for the one that was confiscated by customs and ordered another laser from member dtr.
I used it a bit when it came in...
Laserbtb model PL-445 for sale. $150 (buyer pays shipping)
2 watt 445nm. Includes carrying case. charger, and tripod. Barely used and works great!
I had originally ordered this item a few months ago from laserbtb. First shipment was confiscated and by the time I finally received this model I...
Prescription bottles look pretty cool too lol! The orange semi-translucent type.
Maybe I'll take some pics and post this weekend but I fired my 2.5w+ 455nm through an empty prescription bottle aimed at a wall. The semi-translucent plastic melts very, very slowly and as it warps and distorts it...
Right! But this does at least give law enforcement better grounds for issuing tickets or possible arrests to pranksters.
Page 24. Among others, it looks to carry a minimum Class A misdemeanor and can go on to more serious charges.

It's pretty messed up. Sure there's practical uses for it, such as confiscating drug money. But obviously, as clearly illustrated in the NPR article, it's easily abused.
lol. I think the receipt would be useless. They would just say the ticket is affiliated with litter recently found nearby...
Just thought I'd share this. Good to know especially if police in your area regularly abuse their power.
"Civil Asset Forfeiture" enables police in the US to basically confiscate whatever they want even if you did nothing wrong. Getting stuff back isn't exactly easy either.
Couple good...
The power supply will depend on what you end up getting and from where. Whoever you purchase from should have that info though. Which btw, I'd highly recommend going through someone on the forum. I live in Northeast WI and just had a laser seized at Milwaukee customs office. Not a pleasant...
I'd try to call again. If you haven't already, try some of the numbers listed on their site. I've had tracking not show anything for 2 days and then suddenly populated with multiple entries, as if it was being scanned but site never updated.

You can get very powerful 445nm lasers and they're very visible. I just picked up a nice one from DTR over the weekend.
445nm has some pretty awful divergence though. 50' out and it's fairly large spot. if you're looking for a tight beam with good burning potential. >750mw 405nm will delivery...
