Hello, is it just me or is focussing a 850nm diode more difficult? None of me lenses i use for my blue lasers really work. I can get a point only on 30 or 40 cm distance maybe. I tried the usual 9mm-stuff, G8 lens, three-element....

i just realized, when looking at my own picture of the driver, it does have 2 small screws/potis. So is that both a CC/CV source? Im really not good with electronics. Im just a paesant that likes laser beams and fire :)... so please help.

hey, i got the same diode and same question what driver to use. What did you mean when you said u cant use "regular CC regulators"?whats a regular constant current reg for you? A led driver? Or a regular laserdriver? And yourediy driver 4A, how does it differ from regular 4-5Amp laser diode...

if making a dpss laser is so difficult, why are they so dirtcheap then? Arent the cheap 5-100mw 532nm lasers all DPSS?

like i said, all the other lenses i got are better in this regard. its basically all cheap lenses that came with moduls or prebuild china lasers. Now i got that 18 eu G8 lens and it shows more of this stuff than any other lens.

its a Nichia 5,5 watt recapped diode, 450nm. So that doesnt automatically prove that the lens is garbage? The lens stays cool....the other ones i have feel almost like the glow, that hot after just a few seconds.

im using a Led-driver for 4eu from Ali, it does 3A...seems pretty reliable so far. It also has very accurate output-control, because you have to screw that wheels like 10-15 times to get from 0 to 3000ma. Cheapest driver i found so far...still have a bunch in my shelf to try.
