    The benifits of a powerful laser - Doggie Style

    The owner of the rot-bull was a teeny asian girl that spoke broken english and couldnt articulate much aside from "so sorry". In all honesty she was mortified and didnt know how to wrangle the dog given she was all of 100 pounds herself and it wasnt a tea-cup poodle. Ofcourse she shouldnt own or...

    The benifits of a powerful laser - Doggie Style

    LOL !!! OK a bear and a pissed off dog NOR 15mw vs ~200mw are hardly the same thing !! I would not screw with a bear unless it had an acute taste for my a$$ and was barreling my way LOL

    The benifits of a powerful laser - Doggie Style

    Ok dirty birds not that kind of doggie style. So I am a self proclaimed noobie, but I def respect the power of a highly focused / collimatted beam of light and *dont* flash it willy-nilly at buildings, aircraft or purdy shiny surfaces........................ BUT tonight on my walk home from...

    Any multi-wavelength glasses?

    thanks everyone for the feedback! I'm lazy at heart and know if I cut corners and buy 3 sets of cheaper glasses that are wavelength specific I WILL end up thinking I am safe and invite an accident. A single set of glasses for ~$150 is a bargain given that the seeing-eye dog Ill need will cost...

    Any multi-wavelength glasses?

    thanks for the reply. My concern is when working with green, red and br... and using several glasses on andd off while tuning; i know myself well enough to become lazy eventually switching them ..... hence the request if there were any certified glassed that at least covered 530nm-670nm or so

    Any multi-wavelength glasses?

    I realize this may sound ridiculous .......... But are there any multi-wavelength glasses that protect against 405nm -> ~700nm that arent exotic in price?

    DIY Homemade laser diode driver

    Well I figured I'd do a barn burner run on the driver/LD combo and see what I was reading ... With 6AA 1.2 Alkaline's : 200.9 mA 2.75 V (drops fast... Alkaline's?) With 7.5V 1000mA AC/DC adapter: 202 mA 2.75V I'm measuring before and after the LD like this: LD => (DVM -) =====> Driver LD...

    DIY Homemade laser diode driver

    Rog8811, What is the max safe operating params of this circuit? I built one out on a radio shack protoboard just added an on off toggle switch and soldered it all together last night .. attached a red LED first and powered it up with 6 AA batteries (alkaline as my NiMh were dead) and worked out...

    WTB: 532nm >100mw & 405nm w/flexdrive, host and glass lens

    Hey all :) Been lurking for quite a whiel now and am looking to save some time in a build. Looking for a high power greenie + blu-ray which are already assembled with flexdrive , host and preferably glass focusable lenses.
