    Dot visible through goggles?

Hmm. I do see that the dot is read through the goggles. Should I be worried? I don't think I have any eye damage yet though..

    Dot visible through goggles?

I'm just wondering if you should see the dot through the glasses normally, or if the dot should be COMPLETELY invisible..

    Dot visible through goggles?

Hi! Today I got my Eagle pair 600 - 760nm OD4+ goggles, and used them while testing my 815 diode @ 370mA, which would output around 250-300mW I guess. This is the first time I use such a powerful laser, so I don't have any previous experience with laser goggles. When I tested the laser I could...

    Strange 815 sled?

I got it out using a metal saw and some pliers. There where no complications at all :P Unfortunately I can't test it today since I don't have my safety goggles yet. :/ Also, I completely forgot to wear my ESD protection wrist strap, so I just hope the diode is still working..

    Strange 815 sled?

I'm gonna try to get it open today, I'll update this thread with the results later. I just hope I don't kill it in the process though :P

    Strange 815 sled?

Hello. I ordered a 815 sled from odiforce lasers some time ago, and today I got time to open it up. After getting the diode + heatsink off the sled, I noticed it didn't look like other 815 heatsinks that I've seen. The top part of the diode is covered by a metal piece with a small hole. This...

    Will 650nm goggles block 660nm?

Thanks for the help guys! I'm buying the ones from ZoneStealth, and I'm also going with the 815 instead of the 826. (The place I'm buying the other parts from doesn't have the 826, and I don't want to pay for shipping from two stores :P)

    Will 650nm goggles block 660nm?

I really hope you're right. I'm not going to look into the laser or anything moronic like that, but I don't want to get any damage from the reflections from the laser dot. Also, does every goggles that say for example 650nm have the ability to protect from all light in the spectrum that is close...

    Will 650nm goggles block 660nm?

Sooo, Which post is right? Do they block the 660nm light like piferal said? Or if it is like MadEye said, do they stop blocking at 650nm?

    Will 650nm goggles block 660nm?

Hello! I am going to build my first laser, and I am deciding between a LPC-815 and a LPC-826. The first one have a wavelength of 650nm, while the second one is 660nm. I want to get a good pair of glasses first, as I am scared of loosing any eyesight. Would these glasses: 650nm OD4+ from...

    Some beginner questions

So I should be able to use it like any other diode (Put it in a axiz module for example), as long as I am more careful?

    Some beginner questions

What does the can do? Is it better to have a can or not?

    Some beginner questions

Thanks for the tip man. Quick question though, Why does that first one (lpc-826) not have any metal casing around the tip like every other diode have?

    Some beginner questions

Thanks. I don't really feel like buying a diode on "trial and error", You don't happen to know where they sell red 250mW laser diodes where the seller knows what mA you should use? :P

    Some beginner questions

I'm sorry, but nowhere it says that (if it does, please point out where). 200mW isn't max for pulse. And where do you get the 150mW from? is it just a guess?. Also, weren't you doing your first build right now? I would rather get some information from someone that have some more experience. (No...
