    Power Clarification

Funny story, you were my inspiration and I copied your exact build haha.

    Power Clarification

Oh yes, I have 4 of them and a DMM, right now they are at 3.95v. The first thing I did was charge them but I'm still not feeling it. I bought two 18650's just waiting on the extension tube.

    Power Clarification

I just recently built a 445nm with an m140 diode. I'm using a 1.5amp driver and it was really incredible! But now two days later, I feel like its not as bright as it used to be. My friend could see it from his house, now he can't? I don't recall anything going wrong. Is there anything to look...

    B50 Powerlight 660nm Build

He connected the negative of the battery to the black heatsink somehow and continuous negative comes into play. But when you assemble it.. the case acts as the negative and runs through the heatsink, through the diode wires and into the flexdrive. The diode negative and battery negative are...

    First Red Build

It's nice to finally build one. Thanks! I used another similar build as inspiration.

    First Red Build

Hello. After two years of procrastinating, a blown flexdrive, backwards diode press at 2:00am; a couple friends and I finally got a working laser. It’s powered at 365ma using a flexdrive a powerlight b50 host. Thanks to daguin and scumbag(lol) for their friendly support on the flexdrive. I...

    Flexdrive problem

I watched a video of a guy do it on youtube and he literally tapped it once and it bridged the two resistors... hmph, easy enough I said. I'll just take it very cautious this next time. This is the one Setting a Flex Drive using a Test Load and Multimeter. - YouTube

    Flexdrive problem

I used flux on the terminals. The solder tunneled down the wire into the terminal ring. But I didn't use any on the resistors because it was scary to do as it was lol. I have a board that I was going to make into a dummy load. Maybe I should.

    Flexdrive problem

haha, I just ordered another flexdrive. I'll try it again. If I fail, ill just sell everything and dedicate to my freelancing. My friend made me a heatsink for the driver that fits the flashlight. So I want to try again. I've been wanting to make one for years... :yabbem:

Awesome thank you so! A shipping I must wait!

    Flexdrive problem

How do you recommend I solder the jumper so it flows correctly? Those things are so small.

    Flexdrive problem

I just wanted to set it to like 380ma, is there an alternative that allows me to use one battery? Or do I need another flexdrive and try again. I know I can order one from the original website with a preset current but it took a month to get it last time.

    Flexdrive problem

Apparently I killed the driver.. I barely did anything. It doesnt ouput any power and the battery still has 4.1 input. This stuff drives me insane. I had everything ready to go lol

    Flexdrive problem

haha, sorry I didnt put the batteries in because at the time of the picture it was a pain to keep them still but I rigged them eventually. The batteries read 4.2 - 4.0 after a full charge. Im reading in MV on the 1w1o resistor. I have a pin that I put into the negative upon testing the current...
