I am curious what are the best diodes one can obtain for DIY purposes? Who are the best manufacturers of diodes? I want to tinker with building lasers myself so I need some help here. From the most expensive to cost effective to the cheapest, any information is appreciated.

Well the site does look last century..but the lasers matter more tho, not how it looks. I rather like the design because it's techie.

These ppl are not highly paid laser professinals. They are customer support ppl for chris' sake. Give them a break.

Well, like mentioned on the title, I need lasers that can easily cut through trash cans. Not the small ones at home, but the one on the streets. Basically we need to cut holes on the lit, and it needs to be more durable unlike most pointers can only run for less than a minute. So, what kinds...
