Is it possible also, if you focus the beam down to a fine point and it doesn't burn, that the batteries may be junk/need recharging? Might want to look into it :)

This is great advice, thank you, but I never looked into the aperature to see there is red light inside, I can see the red glow reflecting off the inside of the aperature from the side. I would never look directly into the aperature of any laser, even <5mw (Even if I had safety goggles on) I...

I bought a cheap green laser from QQ-Tech and I'd like to open up the host. The host looks like this When I turn the laser on, it does nothing, I have to cuddle it and warm it up before it will produce a green dot, after it warms up and produces the dot, it will only do so for a short while...

When I was in Middle School, I had a 5mW red laser that I brought to school. No one knew about lasers back then and so everyone wanted to borrow mine. This kid named James borrowed it, I told him "don't point it in your eyes or at anyone else" so what's the first thing he does? He shines it...

Oh okay, I've been reading on here and it sounds like safety is so important that you have to wear them all the time. I'm getting paranoid of getting a beam to the eye :cool:

you need to wear goggles to protect your eyes, wouldn't the lens kit be kind of pointless if you can't see the effects? :thinking:

Tarnish remover doesn't smell as nice, or cost as cheap, or have as many uses :whistle:
