Especially when the cheaper ones tend to not have an IR filter D: and I feel like Optotronics makes them just enough overspec haha, I am extremely happy with my 8mw of green

My laser came on thursday, 220mw! I also ordered the goggles, but they didn't seem to make it. did you order goggles too by any chance? EDIT: I sent Lazerer a message through their website asking about the goggles and Max got back to me on the same day explaining that the goggles come directly...

afaik, a lot of the price differences between lasers of the same power can come from the housing itself, aka the host. Another difference is that Lazerer guarantees their lasers to be overspec, or higher power than stated, whereas most cheap sellers will be sort of a gamble with power...

I ordered one too a couple days ago after seeing this thread, some power readings would be great whenever. Mine has shipped and I'm hoping to see it in about 10 days :D

I did this with an 8mw green laser, a pringles can and a small piece of mirror with hot glue. just cut the bottom off the can and spread the balloon over the top and put the open end over a subwoofer. Worked alright, would probably look pretty good with a little more power in a smoky room...

Hey there, I also ordered that laser just a few days ago with the sale. I hope you picked up a pair of goggles to match as well, because permanent damage could easily be caused just by looking at the dot. I went ahead and got lazerer's goggles, they look pretty good and the price isn't too bad...
