    pc power supply

Fivos, the links for the drivers you gave out are for flashlights and won't work with diodes unless you take all the components off and solder your driver to that driver to use it inside a flashlight. I recommend building a basic LM317 driver or buying a good driver such as a FlexDrive and not...

How to increase power of this Bluray laser?

Anything between 8V and 15V and that is not a 9V battery is fine...I guess a 12V would be ok, I never used them...Li-Ion batteries would be the best choice...3.6V or 3.7V each so only tree or four would give you enough volts and they hold a good amount of current to and they are rechargeable!

How to increase power of this Bluray laser?

What driver are you using...different drivers need different batteries (most of them) ? And I can confirm what Daguin says about the dot and glasses, I got some and burning is much easier with glasses! Add some heatshrink to your wires to prevent shorts and the wires breaking or just use...

First Laser Build - PIC HEAVY!!!

Success! It pops balloons and light matches (I think, the vid cut off!)! Nice results anyhow! Kyle

Looking for a Red Laser. Need Help.

Well...if you operate any laser over 5mW, it is STRONGLY recommended to wear safety goggles. Most people don't but better to pay a few bucks than screwing up your eyes! So as long as you don't look directly in the diode (NEVER DO THIS!), I guess your OK for not wearing some...I have my PHR...

First Laser Build - PIC HEAVY!!!

Like all the above, love the rocket thing over your switch! Nice first build! We all gotta start somewhere! Gotta see it popping balloons and such now... Kyle

Looking for a Red Laser. Need Help.

Maximum output power: <5mW / <1mW If its output is bigger than 1mW but smaller than 5mW, I doubt the beam will be visible. If I am wrong, which I doubt:crackup:, please correct me! Kyle

True! I love green lasers but 405nm being my very favorite! I love the fluorescence and the fact they can write on GITD surfaces!

Agreed! Thankfully, never had to see a LPC die...only killed 3 PHRs so far...! What is your favorite kind of diode ?

Looking for a Red Laser. Need Help.

Holy crap! I gotta learn how to use a keyboard! Yes LPC-815 and Kendal claims 380mA, which always worked great for me! Sorry, LPC-815 and 380mA! Kyle:crackup:

Looking for a Red Laser. Need Help.

Well my pen build (PHR803T) outputs around 90mW to 100mW and the beam is visible in dark conditions. At night, the beam is clear and outside, the beam is very clear. Which diode will you be using or which laser are you thinking of buying? It depends on the type of diode, for example, an LPC-815...

Is my bluray diode dead ?

    No problem!:yh:

    You mean experience :D Kyle

Is my bluray diode dead ?

You mean the end of your wires are grey? If so, I'm not sure but I would think they are still good. Happens to me when I solder and de-solder, my leads become grey-blackish.

Is my bluray diode dead ?

Yeah, more than likely dead...diodes are really fragile...sadly...they are an awesome component...same happened to me once, I did not use heat-shrink tubing and since the diode pins are smaller than my wire, some pieces of the wire kinda ''bent'' and made a short or screwed it up somehow...
