    FS: HeNe's Cheap :)

brando132, Thanks for the info. My tube is 14 inches long, but I may be able to use a 1 foot cable and just set the PSU pretty close to the tube. KiLLrB, Thanks for the links. I had planned on ordering from Meredith Instruments but saw this thread and figured I'd see if Dave could save me a...

    FS: HeNe's Cheap :)

Hey Dave, Thanks again for helping me find a suitable PSU for my bare tube a few weeks ago. I'm now in need of a male Alden connector and cable. Did you pull any off of the dead lasers, and if so, would you be willing to sell one? Thanks!

    WTB: HeNe Power Supply (Closed)

Re: WTB: HeNe Power Supply Ah, okay. Thanks! I'll keep an eye out for a good deal. Last night I found a good deal on a brick style PSU that puts out 1890V at 6.5mA. Could I run the tube at full output by using a lower value resistor with that power supply? Thanks again, Kyle

Re: WTB: HeNe Power Supply Dave, Thanks for the reference images; those are ones I saw credited to you at PL. Would you happen to have a suitable PS for sale, or should I keep a look out on the listings on eBay? Thanks again, Kyle

    WTB: HeNe Power Supply (Closed)

Re: WTB: HeNe Power Supply Jimmymcjimthejim, Thanks for the response. It's a bare Melles Griot 05-LHR-182 tube. The specs I've seen on it suggest a tube voltage of 1650V without a ballast resistor, and 2090V with a 68k ohm resistor. I saw a few supplies on eBay but most appear to not supply...

    WTB: HeNe Power Supply (Closed)

I recently picked up a 14-inch HeNe tube off of eBay and would like to buy an inexpensive power supply for it, preferably something under $50. I believe it requires at least 1650V DC at 6.5mA. All offers are greatly appreciated. Thanks, Kyle EDIT: I found a deal on eBay, no need for anymore...
