its not so much the voltage (you still need to have a filter cap) but more so the current (ma) you need to make a very basic circuit which can be found in the experiments section it is just a simpal lm317 circuit you should have no problems and will cost you $7 Cheers Reuben

1065nm IIRC just into the ir spectrum a fun fact with yags is you can output strait through a frequency doubling KTP and get a monster green, However 60w is piss all for a YAG, IIRC an ssy-1 is a few Mw i could be wrong but usually you measure a yag by the input into the flash lamp eg (12j)
