Hey there! i was wondering if i might be able see the schematics for the buck drivers you are using in your 445 1W build. I'm interested in the actual components being used on the manufactured pill. Pretty please!!! i do not want to rip my awesome laser apart out of dreaded curiosity!

    A130 yields

just curious; how do you harvest the diodes? i'd like to see some a130 disassemble pics here. that would be sawheeeeet!

    Dealing with diode disasters

UPDATE: i used the "blob suck" method like 5 minutes ago, running at 705f, and it worked perfectly. absolutely perfectly. diode works, pins are shiny clean (but still ridiculously short), and i have a smile on my face :)

    Dealing with diode disasters

Thanks LtKernel. I'll give it a lil' more heat and hope for teh best. Hopefully i can get around to it this thursday.

    Dealing with diode disasters

I seriously hope that crud on the pins will melt/drag off. 610f seems like a good risk for that

    Dealing with diode disasters

HI. I recently got my 405 nm GGW diode from hightechdealz (pre pressed), and i was surprised when i checked out the pins. I freaked. Basically, they are ridiculously short, covered in solder, and all bridged together. I need to hook it up to a microdrive and thus need a way of surgically cutting...

    coherent perfect absorber - anti-laser

I think this could be created with a P and N type semiconductor sandwitched; set in backward phase, does this make sense? just make something that takes the photon energy of coherebnt light, like a laser or diode, and use that energy to reverse the process on something else.

Hello from MT! I finally made an account!

Hi, I'm Kevin. Like a month ago, a TA in one of my circuit analysis laboratories got me interested in lasers. Naturally, i instantly built one with a lot of his guidance. I whipped together a 405 nm 200ish mW from hightechdealz and stonetek stuff. Every step of the build was awesome and smooth...
