150mW green pen module with one 10440 lithium

Well I ordered one last week anyway. If the beam looks bad I will just pull the end cap off and see what I can do with it. I still plan to build one up with the module that I ordered. Well see which one turns out better. One way or another, I will have a fairly hot micro greenie.

That's pretty respectable for a laser that small. Thanks for the info, I really appreciate it.

Oh man don't tempt me. That 400mW module is nice. I would probably be more interested in this: 450mW New portable Green laser torch/IR filtered [OLNGL400] - $389.00 : Welcome to O-Like.com, Your source for laser products It's slightly more money but it's already in a host. I will own one of...

150mW green pen module with one 10440 lithium

Well that's pretty cool. Thanks for the link. If I had seen that yesterday I would have saved some money, and it's certainly easier. That 115mW I assume includes IR.

150mW green pen module with one 10440 lithium

Ebay, 41 bucks. INDUSTRIAL/LAB 532nm Green Laser 150mW Diode Module DOT - eBay (item 120575897440 end time Dec-24-10 05:47:47 PST) If it comes in way under spec that will be fine with me. I will find a use for it one way or another. If it doesn't work out I can try a module from DX.

150mW green pen module with one 10440 lithium

Well I'm not sure that the one I ordered will put out an honest 150mW but I will put a meter on it to see how much current it draws. If it is too much, then I will scale down my goal a little to maybe 50mW.

150mW green pen module with one 10440 lithium

That's good advice. I will order some cheap ones for testing. Thanks again.

150mW green pen module with one 10440 lithium

Thanks for the reply. The module I bought is 3v so I guess it's a bit of a gamble putting a 3.7v battery on it. So turning the pot down won't help?

150mW green pen module with one 10440 lithium

I want to build a short green laser pen with a 150mw module and was wondering if I can run it with a single 10440 Lithium battery at 4.2 volts. If the voltage is too high, is it possible to turn the pot down a little to reduce power to the diode? Or will the higher voltage burn out the driver...

    Ebay $9 blu-ray pens: GREAT!

I think most of those lower output 405 pens can be brought up to the same level as the higher ones with just a slight turn of the pot. Most of mine were drawing 120mA at 4 volts except for one brighter one which was 140mA. I took one of the 120mA ones and turned the pot (very slightly) to...

    Super Beast Green

I've been running mine at 4.2 volts with no problems so far. The beam on mine looks about the same as my 20mW pen so I imagine much of the power coming out is IR. Also when I first tried to use mine (I bought 2 of them), they were still cold from sitting in the mail box and one of them did not...

    1-1.2 watt 445nm lasers

Re: 1-1.2 watt 445nm lasers CHEAP $180 ****5 LEFT**** I hadn't thought about the heat expansion thing...interesting. I have had mine on for over a minute without any perceptible change in focus. Mine has a copper heat sink which has quite a bit lower expansion rate than aluminum so that may...

Online Color Challenge - How well do you see color?

    I got a 4. I had slight trouble with the blue/violet area. I did just get a 1W 445...hmmm:thinking:

    1-1.2 watt 445nm lasers

Re: 1-1.2 watt 445nm lasers CHEAP $180 ****5 LEFT**** Each spacer would probably be slightly different in thickness due to variation in dimensions between lasers...therefore it is something you would have to fit to your own laser and can't be mass produced. Sorry.
