Flaminpyro vs Jayrob SH-032 SS Build (image heavy)

I cant stop reading this thread its like getting something really stinky on your hand, you know it stinks but you gotta smell it anyway.:cryyy:

Flaminpyro vs Jayrob SH-032 SS Build (image heavy)

Flaminpyro I owe you an apology for stating I agreed with plexus that you should share the cost with him. In his post #39 where he first addresses these issues rather than stating that the diode worked for up to an hour, the way he worded it makes it sound like the diode had a very short life...

Re: FS: All my laser stuff!!! Cheap! Pics added I bought the arctic even though I have called it a POS in other threads, I have'nt done anything stupid in over 24hrs and was starting to show signs of withdraw.:drunk:

Flaminpyro vs Jayrob SH-032 SS Build (image heavy)

Re: Flaminpyro SS >1W 445nm Build (image heavy) Wow this is some thread, LMAO at someone wanting jayrob to do more machining and charge less for the end product. There's a formula for success. ;) IMHO the problem was not with the design of jayrobs heatsink/pill combo, but rather how the driver...

    jayrob 18650SS hot option

I don't know if it was a problem with white balance or just sensor overload, but the color is kind of cool.

    jayrob 18650SS hot option

Mini review of the jayrob 18650 stainless steel "hot option" kit. This top notch kit consists of the stainless steel Aurora host, copper heatsink, 1/2" custom copper module, AixiZ 445 glass lens, EZfocus adapter and driver mounted in the pill with lead wires soldered to the driver and power set...

    Need 445 diode w/case pin

Thanks to you all for your help on this. As I said I am a noob when it comes to this stuff and was not sure about the function of the case pin. I'm going to send the aluminum heatsink to my buddy so a mold can be made to create the ceramic heatsink and I will let LPF know how it works out...

    Need 445 diode w/case pin

I have a friend who works in a really high tech lab that works with new types of metallic ceramics. I don't know the math but according to him its thermal conductivity is ten time higher than aluminum, here is the formula he stated in his E-mail to me,(~180 W/mK, I have no idea what it states...

    Need 445 diode w/case pin

OK EF I am a little bit of a noob here and thats why I posted this. Not to be rude but you obviously did not read the original question as I stated clearly that this is to be used in a ceramic hence non metallic module. The heatsink will also be ceramic.

    Need 445 diode w/case pin

EF thanks for the reply, but it does'nt help to answer my question with a question as I asked in my post if I was wrong in thinking I would need the case pin for a non cunductive module.

    Need 445 diode w/case pin

Tried to post this a while ago but it didn't post ? Does anyone know of any 445nM diodes with the case pin not clipped ? I have a friend that can make custom ceramic modules and or heatsinks , and I want to do some experimenting with these. I assume (am I wrong?:undecided:) that as the...
