Hi All, One of the electrodes broke off my laser tube. Can this be repaired? It looks like it may have chipped a little of the glass too. The break is flush with the tube. I was thinking about trying to solder another electrode on there but I'm not sure if the heat of the solder iron would...

I'm looking to buy a 40Watt CO2 laser tube & power supply. I looked at a couple of vendors: LightObject & ColeTech Has anyone worked with lasers purchased from either of these vendors? Prices look really good but they come from China and I've heard that can be hit or miss. Thanks, JROD

Thanks Shorty I am leaning more towards using CO2 laser now. Cost is MUCH less than fiber laser. A lot of good info in this forum for CO2 lasers. I need to do a little more research to figure out how much power i will need before I buy one...but it looks like CO2 is the way to go. I will post...
