Hi all, I'm looking for some AR coated acrylic lenses. The company I bought one from in the past doesn't seem to sell them anymore (wish I had bought some more). I've been looking for them elsewhere but I can't seem to find any :( does anyone know were I might get some? Cheers

If the diode behaves like the 120mW variant it might be a good current indeed. The big question now is if it does actually behave like its little brother ;) Perhaps you should set the current at 450mA first and see if it gets hot and have a look at the raw output. Usually you don't gain that...

Did anyone do some thorough testing on those 170mW diodes? 500 might be a bit much I don't know. I couldn't find much data on the forum. You would not want to LED that diode :)

I used the opnext 120mW 638 diode. Very nice beam properties. The driver is an AMC7135 (350mA).

Yes those 660nm diodes aren't very visible to me too but I really like the color. I think it looks nicer than the 635 single mode I build recently. Looking forward to your review.

Thanks for the advice. It was a LPC-826 which i think should have been perfectly fine with that current. I have some small screwdrivers made for the screws in an iphone/macbook but they don't seem to fit the pot very well... I'll try that trick with the tin next time and if that wont work i'll...

If you want things quickly than you shouldn't order from DX. It seems to take them 1-2 weeks before they even send your order and then you have to wait another 2 weeks before you get it in your mailbox. I think these C6 host are all the same but if you order a kit from a member it should arrive...

I ordered that host some weeks ago for 10.90 and it arrived a few days ago. It seems to be fine and indeed comes without driver and led but with the driver pill. It does however still have CREE and Aurora written on the sides in my case.
