I don't think that's the case. Temperature is around 25C and i've now tried with new batteries.

Could low batteries be a cause for modehopping?

I also have a DX true 100mW and it doesn't light matches, even with black head. It may have something to do with modehopping of my laser. But I can pop balloons easily with it.

I've made a little research and found the dragonlasers google to be the best bet. I can buy blue+red laser goggles for 74 dollars incl. shipping. But unfortunately the "Red laser beam protection 640-750nm" are out of stock now and my dilda is 660nm. Do you suggest me waiting? Are dragonlasers...

I can't make a video as it appears only rarely, when I turn the laser on.. Seriously, what should I do? Should I RMA the laser? Wouldn't I pay then too much for shipping it back? And I think my laser is truely 100mW as I can instantly pop a balloon with it.

I tried to clean the laser with an ear bud as Hallucynogenyc suggested but the problem remains and it shows up sometimes. What else could it be?

I've recently bought a DX True 100mW greenie. A strange circle-like thing appears randomly when using the laser, especially when I use it after a while. The guys over at DX forums told me that it may be dust. But I don't think that's the case because it appears sometimes, not all the times, but...

I aggree that goggles are a must and I value my eyesight and health in general. But I'm trying to find the best deal (good, safe goggles at a low price).
